Chadron Community Hospital Received “Performance Leadership Award In Quality”

Chadron Community Hospital and Health Services has been recognized by the Chartis Center of Rural Health and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health with a Performance Leadership Award in Quality.

The award honors rural hospitals ranked in the top quartile and is given in conjunction with National Rural Health Day, celebrated next Thursday on Nov 18th.

Chadron Community CEO Nathan Hough says the Quality Leader award comes from the efforts of every department and hard-working individual at the hospital, all dedicated to taking good care of the community.

Hough is also pleased that the quality of care at Chadron Community is being noticed and appreciated on the national level as well as by the patients and their families.

The Performance Leadership Awards are based on the Hospital Strength INDEX®, described as the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance.

It measures and monitors performance across a variety of areas impacting hospital operations and finance.

Chartis Center National Leader Michael Topchik says the award recipients are being recognized for their “steadfast commitment to serving their communities and delivering high quality care in the face of tremendous challenges.
