Chadron Honors PD Dispatcher, Officer For Saving 5-Year Old Girl

The City of Chadron has honored two members of the Chadron Police Department for their quick assessment and response to a medical emergency last Monday night and saving the life of a 5-year old Chadron girl.

Dispatcher Cassandra Anderson and Officer Sean Considine were presented with letters of commendation and a life-saving award at last night’s city council meeting.

Mayor Miles Bannan read the letter of commendation, describing how the rescue call shortly before 10:00 pm about the girl choking on vomit played out

Police Chief Tim Lordino told the videoconference council meeting and online and cable access audience that the call was “pretty crazy” from the start to the finish, with the response from Anderson and Considine evidence of how good training and quick decisions can save someone’s life.
