Chadron Man In Custody For Threatening Officer

A Chadron man faces multiple charges after threatening a police officer trying to make a welfare and MIP check on him. 19-year old Tyree Good Crow is being held in the Dawes County Jail on 10% of $10,000 bond.

Chadron Police Sgt Patrick Young says the incident began Tuesday with a call from a concerned citizen requesting a welfare check on a young man who appeared to be struggling to walk and repeatedly falling over.

Sgt Young says he made contact with Good Crow and confirmed he had slurred speech and difficulty maintaining his  balance. Young tried to detain him to check for alcohol use, but Good Crow fled on foot.

An officer located Good Crow a short time later at his residence, but Good Crow then threatened him – saying he would track down the officer and kill him or put up a bounty of Bitcoin and let someone else kill him.

The officer was eventually able to talk Good Crow into surrendering and being placed in handcuffs without incident.

Good Crow was then arrested on suspicion of felony Terroristic Threats and 2 misdemeanors: Obstructing a Peace Officer and MIP.
