Chadron Man Jailed In Early Morning Domestic Violence Incident Posted by John Axtell Date: March 12, 2020 4 Views CHADRON – A recent arrival in Chadron is in custody following a domestic violence incident about 3:15 Thursday morning. 49-year old Donald Long Soldier was arrest on 1 count of felony strangulation and 3 misdemeanors: 3rd-degree assault, obstructing a police officer, and resisting arrest. Chadron police officer Zach Klemp says officers were dispatched to the A&M Trailer Court, formerly the Regency, to investigate an alleged assault. When they arrived, they met with a man who said he was the victim and had made the call. Officer Klemp says the man told them his father was drunk and kicked, punched, and choked him. Officers found the man had “numerous marks and injuries” consistent with his claims of being attacked, and a witness in the residence corroborated his statement Police then arrested Mr Long Soldier and took him to the Dawes County Jail, where his bond is pending.
