Chadron Public Works Director Retiring In June

CHADRON – Chadron Public Works Director Milo Rust has announced his retirement, effective June 8, after more than 37 years as a city employee.

He says nothing specific triggered his decision, just a general feeling that it was time to relax and fish more.

Rust joined the city of Chadron in 1983 as Street Superintendent and was promoted to Public Works Director 2 years later.

He is married to Chadron City Clerk Donna Rust, who started working for the city in 1973. Milo says that while he’s ready to retire, she isn’t and probably won’t be for at least a couple years.
