Board Goals (Reviewed 3.11.20):
1. CPS students will either be proficient or meet typical growth in core areas using appropriate grade levels assessments by providing multi-tiered systems of support to ensure equitable learning environments for all students by 2023-24.

2. Foster a positive/adaptive culture that builds trusting relationships through communication and collaboration with all stakeholders for continuous school improvement.

1. ROUTINE MATTERS:
a. Welcome and Recognition of Visitors-
b. Meeting Called to Order – A complete copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act is posted on the west wall and in the BOE Documents folder.

Motion to Declare the Meeting “Adjourned, Sine Die” – This is a formality to terminate current board officers and duties and allow for election of new officers for a new year.

- Made it through the first semester without having to go remote!
- Congratulations to Holli Morsett for successfully completing all CHS credits in December. She will join us this spring for our graduation ceremony.
- Thank you to the CHS Student Council for the holiday decorations, the door decorating contest and the fun day of trivia activities on Dec. 22nd.
- Thank you to the Chadron Shop-With-A-Cop program for successful completion of their 16th year assisting youth in our community for the holidays.
- Thank you to Wendy Rhoads and the Cardinal Singers for the many vocal performances around town in December spreading holiday cheer!
- For all CHS students and staff for a successful 1st Semester!!!
- CMS students for their participation in the HOPE Squad Penny Wars. CMS raised over $700.00 that will be donated to a local charity.
- All of the students who participated in the CMS Caring for Sharing food drive. CMS donated 498 non-perishable food items to the NCAP food pantry in Chadron. Grade level totals – 5th: 93; 6th: 123; 7th: 175; 8th: 105.
- Thank you to the Shop-With-A-Cop program for assisting children and their families during the holiday season for the 16th consecutive year!
- Mrs. Wess and Mrs. McLain for proctoring 5th grade AIMS reading assessments before break.
- Mr. Rischling, Mrs. Rhoades and all of their band and choir students for their virtual holiday concert performances in December.
- All CMS students and staff for a great 1st semester.
- To the Acadience assessment team for testing efficiency before our break.
- To Mrs. Kaus and Mrs. Sarah Patterson for organizing and presenting the 2nd Grade Reader’s Theater to our Kindergarten students, this was a tricky year with having a virtual theater time but we made it work.
- To Mrs. Rojas for allowing her students to send their holiday stories virtually so our young students could enjoy it. We miss seeing the older students in person but are grateful for the opportunity to share stories.
- To the Chadron PD and all who contributed to the “Shop with a Cop” program, it is always a huge success and much appreciated by the families it affects.
- To the United Methodist Church Sunday School and Congregation for their generous donation to help with lunch balances.
- To Dr. Tebbs, Mrs. Schrader, and all who helped coordinate and make our school-wide sing-a-long such a success the day before break. Students were able to enjoy singing during our lunch hours.
- To all of the families that brought non-perishable foods for our Sharing and Caring Food Drive. Our students took the canned goods to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

AQuESTT – Accountability for a Quality Education System Today and Tomorrow AQuESTT is Nebraska’s next-generation accountability system. It aims to meet and exceed statutory requirements for accountability (R.S.S 79-760.06 and 79-760.07) by considering the broader educational experiences and success of students.
