Cheyenne Mayor’s Husband Free On Domestic Violence Bond Posted by Deja Andersen Date: December 26, 2019 1:41 pm Leave a comment 7 Views CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – The husband of Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr is free on $5,000 signature bond for 1st-offense misdemeanor domestic battery in connection with an alleged altercation with his wife on Friday night in Cheyenne. 54-year old Christopher “Jimmy” Orr’s bond, approved Monday, includes his having no contact with his wife and no going within a 1-block radius of their home after returning with an officer to collect his belongings. Campbell County Attorney Ron Wirthwein was appointed special prosecutor after Laramie County District Attorney Leigh Ann Manlove declared a conflict of interest because she knows the couple and has been friends with Marian Orr since college. According to charging documents, police were called to the Orr home Friday night at 7:30 after someone called in a report of a disturbance. Jimmy Orr told police that he had been in an argument with his wife and threw a cup into the sink, where it broke next to where she was standing. He said she picked up one of the pieces and threw it back at him, at which point he put her in a “bear hug” to calm her down. Investigators say Mayor Orr told them she’d called the police because she was afraid of her husband. They said she had a bruise about the size of a dime on her chin while her chin and neck were red. She said she thought it had happened when her husband turned her around to put her in the bear hug.
