CHADRON – The city of Chadron is limiting contact between employees and the public for at least the next 2 weeks in response to coronavirus recommendations.

City Manager Greg Yanker says City Hall is restricted to only employees and customers who have made appointment, with the preferred and recommended methods of conducting business being the telephone and email.

Several options are available to make utility payments, including the Drop Box on the front of City Hall, with many city services available online.

Yanker says Chadron is also cancelling all meetings held by outside entities at all City facilities. The Chadron Area Aquatics and Wellness Center and the Public Library will remain closed to the public for the next two weeks as previously announced.

The Chadron Municipal Airport is still in operation with commercial flights by Boutique Air, and the Handi Bus is still running – although Yanker asks that anyone requesting a ride notify the dispatcher of any symptoms they may have so the drivers can be prepared.
