Loading

The Chadron Community Christmas Celebration, part of the Country Christmas in Northwest Nebraska, continues Saturday with multiple events.

The Sandoz Center Art Show and Sale on the Chadron State College campus continues from 9-2 after opening on Friday.

It features a variety of works and crafts by a number of area artists while pianists Bobby Pace and Brooks Hafey will offer a concert from noon-to-1:00 of Christmas numbers by two players on one piano.

One of the biggest Chadron events of the season is the Kris Kringle Boutique, which has followed the Harvest Moon Festival in moving from Hemingford to Chadron.

It runs from 9-4:00 at the Dawes County Fairgrounds with dozens of vendors taking part and a visit by Santa and Mrs Claus.

In a similar vein from noon-5:00 is the Kids Christmas Shopping Day at the Stateline Casino. It’s  a chance for kids to buy gifts for family members and to get them gift wrapped for free. All items are under $12 and there are dining specials as well.

Friends of Pets is holding its annual Pictures With Santa from 11-2:00 at Bomgaar’s. Proceeds from the pictures of people and their pets with Kris Kringle will benefit Friends of Pets. Several shelter animals will also be on hand for adoption.
