COVID-19 Count Hits 50 In Nebraska

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Dept of Health and Human Services says the state now has 50 confirmed cases of COVID-19, the coronavirus disease.

Three cases were reported Sunday, one in Dawson County and the other in Douglas County, both travel-related with the individuals self-isolating at home.

The Douglas County case followed the announcement of 8 in the county on Saturday, along with single new cases in Lancaster and Buffalo Counties. All 10 are either relatives of early COVID-19 patients or had traveled or come in close contact with a confirmed case.

Both DHHS and local health departments are testing and publicly reporting their cases. In the event of a discrepancy in numbers, data reported by the local health department is considered the most up to date.
