COVID Scratches Gorsuch Talk At UW Law School For Second Straight Year

For a second year in a row, COVID-19 has forced U-S Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch to cancel a speech at the University of Wyoming.

UW spokesman Chad Baldwin says rising rates of COVID-19 generally and not cases at the university specifically are the reason for cancellation, adding that there are no plans to reschedule Gorsuch’s speech.

The justice had been scheduled to visit the law school and Laramie campus next Thursday and give a talk alongside Wyoming Supreme Court Justice Lynne Boomgaarden.

The UW law school celebrated its 100th anniversary last year with Gorsuch to be the main speaker at a fall celebration that was cancelled by the pandemic.
