Dr Tami Selby, Dean of Enrollment Management at the Community College of Denver, has been named Vice President for Enrollment Management at Chadron State College.
Chadron State President Dr Randy Rhine calls Dr Selby “an accomplished enrollment management specialist (with) a strong background in developing enrollment plans and expertise in data.
Rhine says Selby will help CSC understand its students of the future and assist efforts to grow enrollment while staying true to the school’s mission and region – adding that he’s excited to see what she brings to campus and help us successfully move forward.”
Selby fills a new position created as part of an administrative reorganization earlier this year that split the duties of Vice President of Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Student Services into several jobs, including Dean of Students – which is held by Jon Hansen, who had the old vice-president’s post.
Selby says she’s “really excited” that Rhine has prioritized the new position and enrollment because of the level of commitment and understanding it shows to helping students succeed on what she saw in her interview visit as “an engage and vibrant campus.
Selby says collaboration is the key to her approach, taking “all the great work that has been done and is currently being done on campus and synthesize it and define enrollment management as a living, breathing plan.”
To do that, she says she’s “eager to listen and learn about all the wonderful things on campus and do everything I can to make sure students know CSC is the place for them, “ adding that she can’t wait to get started.
Selby grew up in South America and graduated high school in Port Huron, MI. Both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees are from Pennsylvania’s East Stroudsburg University while her PhD is from Capella University. She also has professional certifications in enrollment management from Cappella and Ruffalo Noel Levitz
Prior to working at the Community College of Denver, which has 8,500 students and offers both 2-and-4-year degrees, Selby spent 15 years at East Stroudsburg in a variety of roles, including Director of Institutional Research and Process Management
She also has experience as a consultant and worked in the corporate merchandise industry for nearly a decade.
