CSC Using New Self-Screening COVID-19 AppPosted by John AxtellDate: September 02, 2020 11:58 amLeave a comment333 ViewsChadron State College officials are strongly encouraging all students and employees to download a free self-screening mobile application for symptoms related to COVID-19. Vice President for Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Student Services Jon Hansen says it’s important for everyone involved with the college to use the CampusClear app, which takes less than 10 seconds to conduct daily health assessments. Those shown by the app to have no symptoms are given a campus “FastPass” while encouraging those who may be showing symptoms to stay home, contact local health care providers and CSC, and look to be tested. Hansen says the information generated by CampusClear can be used by Chadron State to view trends and adjust its COVID-19 plan if necessary. The app comes from a partnership initiative between 2 universities, Creighton in Omaha and Stony Brook in New York state, and the tech firm Ivy.ai. It can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play with a web version for those without access to a mobile device. Students and employees need to use their CSC-provided email address to sign up and all the information and data gathered will be protected and not shared. Hansen says CampusClear durrently has a glitch in its Health Log and individual users should disregard that section until IV.ai has corrected the issue.
