Chadron State College and Western Nebraska Community College are among 30 Nebraska nonprofit colleges and universities that will share $1.57 million dollars in need-based scholarship funds in the latest round of awards by the EducationQuest Foundation.
This is the 23rd year that EducationQuest has awarded need-based scholarship funds to Nebraska colleges for undergraduate students from Nebraska who demonstrate financial need.
The individual students helped are chosen by each school.
EducationQuest has awarded over $27 million dollars providing 26,000 scholarships since developing the program as part of its mission to improve access to higher education in Nebraska.
The foundation has also steadily increased the amount of money going to the colleges and universities.
