Easter Egg Hunts Abound In This Area

Loading

Tomorrow is Easter Sunday, but today is Easter Egg Hunt Saturday – at least informally.

Among the hunts in our area are 3 this morning at 10:00. The busiest and longest event is in Hot Springs, where the Legion Riders are also hosting games and activities – all at the State Veterans Home.

The other two 10:00 Easter Egg Hunts are in Harrison and Crawford at their respective City Parks with Crawford also having a drawing for a giant Easter Basket.

The annual Chadron Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt is once again at the City Baseball Fields on North Main Street near the Fairgrounds. It starts precisely at 11:00 with the more than 4,000 eggs expected to be gone within a couple of minutes.

Skeeter’s NAPA Auto Parts is again offering free hot dogs, chips, and drinks after the egg hunt.

The latest of the local Easter Egg Hunts is in Hay Springs on the south side of Sunset Park at 2:00.

Each of the Egg Hunts has multiple age but the number of groups varies from town to town.

As for Easter Sunday, there are two Sunrise Services in the Chadron area and both begin at 6:00.

The Chadron United Methodist Church is again Camp Norwesca, followed by a free-will donation breakfast and an Easter Egg Hunt for kids.

Returning after several years is a non-denominational Sunrise Service being put on by several Chadron churches. It’s being held in the grandstands at Elliot Field/Don Beebe Stadium at Chadron State College.

  1. And what about your red headed step child, Rushville???? Are we not cool enough to warrant your attention? Or did we do something to insult you?
