Former NSP Trooper Arrested In Panhandle Child Enticement, Child Pornography Case

Loading

A former Nebraska State Patrol trooper who was fired in March has been arrested for child enticement and possessing child pornography.

24-year-old Brandon Dolezal was arrested early Saturday in eastern Nebraska on a warrant out of Scotts Bluff County charging him with 12 counts of child porn, 2 counts of enticement, and 2 counts of child abuse.

The State Patrol says the criminal investigation began after a teen told a school resource officer at Gering High School that he was concerned because two girls he knew were messaging with an older man on Snapchat.

Both girls were interviewed by police with court records showing that the interviews and a search of Snapchat records revealed that one of them had sent explicit photos to Dolezal and the conversations were sexual in nature.

The Patrol placed Dolezal on administrative leave in February as soon as agency officials learned of the investigation and he was fired in March after an internal investigation.
