The county has had 14 of the region’s 21 deaths The Nebraska Dept of Health and Human Services says Scotts Bluff County has the most confirmed cases per capita in Nebraska and is 4th in actual numbers over the last 2 weeks with 851 positive cases. The Panhandle as a whole has had 3,778 cases including 135 yesterday. There have also been 2,028 recoveries – 56 yesterday – as the number of active cases rose to 1,729 including 76 who are hospitalized. Dawes County added 4 new cases and 1 recovery yesterday, raising the number of active cases to 88. The county has had 366 total cases, 273 recoveries, and 5 deaths. Sheridan County has 60 active cases, Box Butte 100, and SIoux County just 1. Chadron State College stayed at 21 active and 101 total cases, while the Chadron Public Schools added 1 active case and 1 recovery to remain at 2 active cases, but both are now at the high school There are 15 quarantines in the district, Statewide, there were 2,182 new cases, 448 recoveries, and 20 deaths to shoot the number of active cases to 37,208 with 860 of them hospitalized, both records. The state has had 87,733 total cases and 730 deaths with 49,762 recoveries The percentage of available hospital beds dropped to 27% with ICU beds staying at 29% and respirators falling to 71% available..
