Fur Trade Days Carnival Arrives, Wristband Vouchers Still On Sale

The first true signs that Chadron’s Fur Trade Days celebration is almost here came Tuesday when the first trucks from Mac’s Carnival arrived and most of the 100 and 200 blocks of Bordeaux Street were blocked off.

Fur Trade Days has vouchers for unlimited ride wristbands on sale for $20, a savings of $5 from the price at the carnival.

Board member Miles Bannan says it’s a good deal for both the buyers and for Fur Trade Days.

Carnival hours are 5-10:00 tomorrow night and 5-midnight Friday and Saturday. Bannan says the wristbands can be used for 5 hours any of the nights.

Bannan says the vouchers can be purchased until 4:30 Friday afternoon from any of the financial institutions in Chadron and any of the Highway 20 branches of Security First Bank.

They’ll also be available from a booth in front of Homestead Bank, formerly the First National Bank of Chadron, during Friday night’s street dance and Saturday morning’s parade, and until 4:30 Saturday online and at the Fur Trade Days at the Traders Market at the Courthouse.
