Gillette School Board Considering Concealed Carry For Employees

GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) – The Campbell County School Board in Gillette is taking up a proposal today to allow teachers and other school employees to carry concealed guns.

District administrators are presenting a detailed proposal they’ve written that would make the Campbell County Schools the fourth district in Wyoming with such a policy.

. Under the proposal, any employee who wanted to carry a concealed firearm on school district property would need to apply with the superintendent and comply with a range of requirements including firearms training and psychological testing.
