Gordon Ending Wyoming Participation In Expanded Unemployment Benefits

     Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon says the state will end its participation in a program providing extra federal unemployment benefits to address joblessness related to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

       Gordon says the weekly $300 payments will end June 19 with the expanded eligibility for the self-employed also ending at that time. 

      Gordon says he recognizes the challenges facing Wyoming employers and is encouraging more hiring. 

     Idaho, Montana, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, North Dakota and South Carolina – all with Republican governors – have made similar decisions
