Gordon said at a news conference Monday that Wyoming is “trending in the wrong direction” and the state’s economy can’t recover until the virus recedes. The number of active COVID-19 cases in Wyoming ticked up slightly on Monday, rising by 8 to 1,123 with 114 new cases and 106 more recoveries. The state has had 5,660 cases along with 4,484 recoveries, and 53 deaths. The 36 COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized is a new record. Wyoming State Health Officer Dr. Alexia Harrist says affected hospitals are starting to feel pressure in their work to treat people.
