Harrison Area Fire Quickly Extinguished

     It took local firefighters just over an hour Tuesday morning to contain a wildfire 10.5-miles east of Harrison to a single acre.

     The Great Plains Fire Information Center says the Jim CA fire was reported about 5:20 AM and contained about 6:30. The fire was caused by equipment being used in dry area. 

       A fire in Cherry County 10-miles east-southeast of Valentine has burned 25 acres. The Crowe CA wildfire was report Monday afternoon at 2:25. The cause has not yet been released.
