Hay Springs Man Dies Saturday In Early Morning Crash

Loading

The Nebraska State Patrol says one person was killed and one hospitalized in a 2-vehicle accident just after midnight Saturday morning near Hemingford. 35-year old Kyle Edwards of Hay Springs was pronounced dead at the scene.

State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas says the preliminary investigation by the Patrol and the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office shows Edwards was alone in a small SUV when a pickup crossed the centerline of Hwy 87 and collided with him.

One of occupants of the pickup was life-flighted to Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln with serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation

  1. Got a question. What story is correct? Chadrononline has it that according to NSP Thomas that the north bound SUV crossed and hit the pickup. But KNEB has info from the same NSP Thomas saying the south bound pickup crossed over and hit the SUV. Just wondering.
