The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office says a 51-year person from Alexandria, Minn, died Friday afternoon while hiking in the Black Hills. The hiker’s name has not been released.
The Sheriff’s Office says the hiker collapsed near Grizzly Creek in the Keystone/Mt Rushmore area.
Deputies and members of Pennington County Search and Rescue found the hiker and began life-saving measures until EMTs could arrive, but the hiker was pronounced dead at the scene.
