“Hills Alive” Wrapping Up In Rapid City

The Hills Alive Christian music festival wraps up Sunday in Rapid City’s Memorial Park with organizers saying total attendance for the free 3-day event might reach 20,000 despite hot weather.

Organizers say Hills Alive brings in some of the top Christian performers – this year’s lineup include Pea-Body, Jonny Diaz, and Skillet – but also brings together people who have stories of hardship that provide hope.

Tim Stuen of KSLT Radio says attendees “can wander in from any direction and hear somebody with a story of hope, a message that there can be joy, that there can be light at the end of a tunnel.”

Besides all varieties of Christian Music, Hills Alive has activities for the entire family, including inflatables and kids’ face painting, balloon animals, and crafts.

There are also merchandise and food vendors with the Cafe Stage providing picnic tables for eating and enjoying some light entertainment.
