CHAPPELL, Neb. (AP) – Two Scottsbluff men died and two other people were injured when their pickup collided with a semitrailer truck on Interstate 80 in the southeastern Panhandle about 7:30 this morning.
Deuel County Attorney Jonathon Stellar says the crash happened the eastbound pickup crossed the median into westbound traffic and was hit by the semi.
Stellar said 33-year-old Enrique Torres Villegas and 55-year-old Kurt Allan Jording, both of Scottsbluff, died in the crash.
Two other people in the truck were injured and taken to a hospital in Julesburg, Colorado, but their conditions and names haven’t been released. The driver of the semi was unhurt.
