The Wyoming Attorney General’s Office this week approved the wording of proposed ballot measures to legalize medical marijuana in the state and to decriminalize possession and use of pot.
The Secretary of State’s Office has begun the process of seeking bids for printing the petitions, a process that will end next Wednesday. Marijuana advocates plan to begin circulating petitions next month.
The Wyoming chapter of NORML, the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, is leading the initiative campaign. It has until February to gather enough signatures to put the measures before voters in November of next year.
