Johnny Rodgers Home After 2 Weeks Hospitalization For COVID, Pneumonia

Nebraska football great Johnny Rodgers is back home after spending more than two weeks in the hospital with COVID-19 and pneumonia.

. The 1972 Heisman Trophy winner and 2000 College Football Hall of Fame inductee admitted to the Associated Press he hadn’t been vaccinated, but said he thought he was protected by devices he’d installed in his home.

Rodgers said one device claimed to weaken viruses while another was a type of air cleaner – adding that he now plans to get vaccinated as soon as doctors clear him to do so.

Rodgers also said he believes his superior physical condition helped him have a better outcome than many 70-year-olds who contract the coronavirus.
