Judge Grants Delay In Herbster-Slama Deposition

A showdown in the legal fight between Republican candidate for governor Charles Herbster and State Senator Julie Slama, who’s accused him of groping her, has been postponed to another day.

Herbster has sued Slama for defamation and she’s counter-sue, accusing him of sexually assaulting her. Her attorney scheduled Herbster for a deposition on Friday, but but the candidate said he wouldn’t show up because he would be busy campaigning.

Herbster challenged the scheduling of the under-oath interview and asked the court on Thursday to delay it. The judge agreed and scheduled a hearing for June 3.
