This past Spring semester at CSC, Keep Chadron Beautiful had the opportunity to partner with Dr. Matthew Everton in the Chadron State College English department and held a student writing competition on topics related to our environment and sustainable living.
The two winning pieces, “Hell Yeah, We Want Recycling!” by Tobias Kounovsky and “Back Yard Composting” by Aarikah Johnson are available to view right now on the blog page at KeepChadronBeautiful.org.
Stephanie Glass, Education Coordinator for KCB, stated that: “Both pieces exemplify KCB’s stance that we can make big differences through small, local changes. Better yet, they offer relevant and clear examples for how we can go about putting those small changes in place in our own community.”
