Lindstrom Picks Rippe As Running Mate

Loading

Nebraska State Senator and Republican candidate for governor Brett Lindstrom has picked developer and former state economic development director Dave Rippe as his running mate.

Lindstrom says Rippe, a Hastings resident who headed the Department of Economic Development for nearly 2 years, has worked to strengthen the state and its communities by helping home-grown companies expand, attracting big job creators from outside the state, and developing housing across Nebraska.

Lindstrom says he knows Rippe is the right person to help him bring “a New Generation of Conservative Leadership to the state” that will help “grow Nebraska (and make it) competitive for generations to come.”

Rippe says he’s honored and ready to work alongside Lindstrom to “fix Nebraska’s broken tax system, cut red tape, and bring people together to do big things.”

Lindstrom is considered a long-shot in a crowded GOP gubernatorial field headlined by Jim Pillen, whose endorsements include incumbent Pete Ricketts, and Charles Herbster, who has the backing of former President Donald Trump.
