Mammoth Site Open House And Membership Drive Tonight

Loading

The Hot Springs Mammoth Site is holding an Open House and Membership Drive tonight from 5:30-8:30 that also includes the dedication of its newest area.

Public Relations Coordinator Claire Scarborough says the Open House is a good chance for everyone to catch up on what’s new at the Mammoth Site.

Scarborough says Nick Cirincione was a longtime volunteer, friend, and supporter of the Mammoth Site whose interest in research makes tonight’s dedication even more fitting.

Scarborough says among the new exhibits at the Mammoth Site are “Pronghorn of North America” and the interactive AR sandbox and stream table.

While no major projects are planned for the coming year, she’s looking forward to a project that should make more people outside the local area aware of the Mammoth Site.

While no one who comes to the Open House will be pressured to become a member of the Mammoth Site, Scarborough hopes many will decide to join because membership fees play a big role in funding continued research and public education programs.

If more enticements were needed, there will be door prizes as well as hot dogs and snow cones, courtesy of the Bonebed Bistro.
