The Nebraska State Patrol located a missing 13-year-old girl from Indiana and arrested a Colorado man Wednesday afternoon in a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Kearney.
Police in Lafayette, Indiana, had told the Patrol the missing girl was believed to be traveling through Nebraska with an adult man and gave a description of the pickup he was driving.
A trooper spotted the pickup about 20 minutes later and stopped. He found the girl hiding in the pickup and arrested the driver, 20-year old Kyle Miotke of Elizabeth, CO, for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was lodge in the Buffalo County jail.
The Lafayette Police Department acquired an arrest warrant for Miotke on Thursday with several additional charges,
Those included promotion of sexual trafficking of a younger child, kidnapping a victim less than 14, sexual conduct in the presence of a minor, inappropriate communication with a child via electronic device, and spreading matter harmful to minors.
