Mystery on Main Street Returns for 8th Consecutive Year Posted by John Axtell Date: February 20, 2020 9:24 am Leave a comment 3 Views The Mystery on Main Street event in Chadron has become an annual tradition for Trunk Butte Christian School (TBCS). This February marks the eighth year in a row that the small rural school has hosted the fundraiser at The Olde Main Street Inn. Each year the mystery is different, but the goal remains the same, to deliver a fun and entertaining evening for Chadron locals while providing a source of financial support for the school. TBCS has proved to be small but mighty when it comes to community impact. Just last spring, school officials organized 2 external fundraisers to purposely impact the lives of those affected by the flooding in Nebraska and in the neighboring state of South Dakota. While those two external fundraisers yielded nearly $5,500 for the Salvation Army emergency services, school officials are hopeful they can raise just as much or more at their upcoming Mystery on Main Street that directly supports the students who attend school at Trunk Butte. The event will be held, as always, at the Olde Main Street Inn on Friday February 21st and again on Saturday February 22nd from 7pm to 10pm both nights. Doors will open at 6:45pm and tickets can be purchased at the door. For those who have never attended and are unfamiliar with the Mystery on Main Street itinerary, ticket holders congregate in the lower level of the historic building, team-up into groups of six, select a dessert from the gourmet dessert menu, then they get to wander through all four floors of the enchanting (reportedly haunted) building to search for clues, interview suspects, & solve the mystery before returning to the lower level for dessert, the auction and gift raffle. Tickets are a mere $25 for 3 hours of this unique and mysterious experience you won’t want to miss. In years past this event has sold out.
