“Nathan Dean And The Damn Band” Return To Bands On Bordeaux

Loading

Tonight is the fourth of this year’s Bands on Bordeaux free concerts with Nathan Dean and the Damn Band playing from 6:00-9:00 in Chadron’s Railroad Park at 1st and Main.

This is the second time The Damn Band has played Bands On Bordeaux. The first was in 2015.

Nathan Dean says the original name when the group formed in 2005 was Nathan Dean and No Quiet Hours, a reference to the “after parties” that often follow bars close for the night.

Three years later as the group made repeat appearances in towns, Dean began hearing people say “Oh, no – that damn band is coming back to town. My liver’s going to hurt” – and the name stuck.

Dean, the lone remaining original member, says their primary sound is 90’s country with lots of original music from their 4 albums plus plenty of cover versions of songs by groups from many musical genres.

Chadron Chamber of Commerce Director Gabby Michna says that as always, there’s a beer garden covering the entire concert area along with kids games and food vendors. Everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
