Next Easing Of Neb Coronavirus Rules Set For Monday

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – Nebraska bars, restaurants and other indoor venues will soon be allowed to have more people inside under relaxed coronavirus rules

Gov. Pete Ricketts outlined the new rules taking effect next Monday across 89 of the state’s 93 counties, saying the data on Nebraska hospital capacity and illnesses supports easing restrictions more.

Restaurants and bars will be allowed to use their full capacity as long as establishments continue practicing social distancing. Games such as darts and pool would also be allowed as long as a patron has a seat at a table or bar.

Gatherings of up to 10,000 people will be allowed as long as indoor venues remain at 50% of their capacity and outdoor venues limit attendance to 75% of their capacity with all venues subject to maximum groupings of 8 with social distancing.

Child care maximums will increase, elective surgeries allowed with local hospitals monitoring their capacity.
