HEMINGFORD – The Panhandle is still free of the coronavirus and COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus. One individual was tested last week at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, but the Nebraska Dept of Health and Human Services says the results were negative.
Panhandle Public Health District executive director Kim Engel says her agency is continuing to monitor the situation, working as part of a unified command with the 3 western-most Emergency Management regions and the Scotts Bluff County Health Department.
Engel says the PPHD will continue to communicate important updates to the public and its partners, with the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention putting out updated guidance daily. She says the most up-to-date information can be found at cdc.gov.
