No-Show For Arraignment Brings Arrest Warrant For Chadron Man

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Chadron man who failed to appear for arraignment in Dawes County District Court this week on charges he stabbed a man in June.

37-year-old Joseph Little Moon Jr was free on bond after being bound over in county court for trial on charges of 2nd-degree assault and felony use of a weapon in the June 2nd incident.

In the incident, when police officers responding to a call arrived at a home in the Pony Park Trailer Court, Little Moon told them he had stabbed a man in the upper groin using a blade hidden in his walking cane. The second man’s name has not been released.
