Northern Panhandle Sees Eight New COVID Cases Over The Past Two Weeks

For the third week in a row the Panhandle Public Health District left its COVID risk dial at one, which straddles the low and moderate risk levels.

PPHD identified 25 new cases of COVID-19 over the past two weeks, but no new deaths in the last week.

There are three active hospitalizations in the panhandle, and a 31% vaccination rate.

Dawes County has had just one new case in the last 14 days with 33% of county residents being fully vaccinated.

Neither Sheridan nor Sioux County has reported a new case over the past two weeks and have vaccination rates of 26% and 20%, respectively.

Box Butte County reported seven new cases and has 30% of the county residents vaccinated.

Statistics from PPHD are updated every Monday afternoon and available on their website at pphd.org.
