NPPD Service In Gordon Fully Restored

GORDON – Nebraska Public Power District says power has been restored to all of the roughly 1,150 customers affected by an outage this morning in Gordon.

NPPD spokesman Mark Becker says the outage occurred when a circuit switcher failed in a substation about 5:30. Crews replaced an arrester as part of the permanent repair to get the substation back in operation

Becker says service was restored to about half the affected customers by noon and the rest by 2:10, adding that NPPD appreciates the patience of customers in dealing with the loss of electricity and the time need to get it back.
