OK Needed For Large Gatherings Under Eased Coronavirus Rules

HEMINGFORD, Neb. (AP) – Panhandle COVID-19 Unified Command is reminding people that although the state’s June Directed Health Measure allows bigger gatherings and the use of indoor and outdoor venues, approval is needed from local health officials.

That authority in this area is the Panhandle Public Health District

The June DHM allows gatherings of either 25 people or 25% of rated venue occupancy, whichever is greater to a maximum of 3,000 as along the PPHD signs off. Limits of 6 people in a group with 6-feet separation between groups remain in effect.

Indoor and outdoor locations or venues that can reopen starting June 1st with approval include indoor and outdoor arenas, indoor and outdoor auctions, stadiums, tracks, fairgrounds, festivals, zoos, meeting hall, auditoriums, indoor theaters, libraries, and swimming pools.
