CHADRON – The Omaha Symphony makes its first visit to Chadron in nearly 11 years tonight with a concert as part of the Chadron State College Galaxy Series. Advance sale tickets for the 7:30 performance in Memorial Hall are $15 for adults and $13 for youth and seniors with all tickets $16 at the door.

In keeping with one of the goals of the Galaxy Series, five members of the Symphony will be conducting master classes today with Chadron State students.

The Omaha Symphony, which celebrates its centennial next year, is currently touring Nebraska and performed the last two nights at the Midwest Theater in Scottsbluff. The symphony performs for more than 120,000 people each year.

Leading tonight’s concert will be Dr Ian Passmore, named recently as the symphony’s associate conductor. The program includes works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Rossini.
