A 2-vehicle accident shortly before noon on Main Street just south of the Dawes County Courthouse in Chadron sent one person to the hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.
The accident occurred when a westbound car crossing Main on 5th Street was hit by a car going south on Main.
One of the vehicles ended up in the front yard of a home at 5th and Main while the other remained on Main Street. One of the individuals involved in the collision was taken to Chadron Community Hospital by ambulance.
Main Street was closed for a time as debris was cleaned up and police officers investigated the accident.
