Last Wednesday was the 35th anniversary of my arrival in Chadron as news director of KCSR and KQSK, which were owned by the same company in those days.
Today is the 50th anniversary of the first time I went on the air
I was a freshman at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, and it was the first day of operation for KSLC, our little 10-watt FM station which could be heard up to about 10-miles away.
I had the last shift and did the sign-off for our first day of broadcasting.
I’m not ready to drop the mic yet, and instead look forward to continuing to keep you informed on KCSR and KBPY for the foreseeable future.

I remember working with you when I lived in Chadron. I still remember you calling me January 2000 after the fireworks on 12-31-1999. Not to mention the news stories with Family Rescue. I have such fond memories of Chadron and the people in it.
