Loading

The Panhandle Public Health District reported 15 new cases of COVID in the panhandle over the past seven days when their weekly report was released on Monday afternoon.

The COVID risk dial stayed in the yellow, or moderate category, but all four northern panhandle counties are currently in the low risk category.

Four of those new cases were in the northern panhandle, with Dawes County having one new case and Box Butte County reporting three new cases.

Dawes County did see a one percent jump in their vaccination rate to 34%. Sioux, Sheridan, and Box Butte counties stayed at the same vaccination rate as reported last week with 20, 27, and 30 percent of those counties’ populations having received their vaccinations.

PPHD says three new deaths are currently under investigation.
