(AP) – Three Rapid City-area residents found with roughly 3 pounds of methamphetamine when arrested have been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking.U-S Attorney Ron Parsons says 48-year old Josh Sanders recevied 12-1/2 years while 45-year old Gregory Murphy and 36-year old Cathy Jacques each received 10 years. All 3 will spend 5 years on supervised release after completing their sentences.Sanders, Murphy, and Jacques were stopped by the South Dakota Highway Patrol in April as part of a 6-month investigation into their drug trafficking activities. Parsons says the trio purchased meth in Nevada and brought it to Rapid City for sale. . This case was investigated by the Highway Patrol and UNET – the Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team, which is comprised of members from the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Rapid City police, state Division of Criminal Investigation, and the South Dakota National Guard.
