Quilt Festival, Easter Egg Hunt Fall Victim To Coronavirus Limits

CHADRON – While some of the events that have fallen victim to coronavirus crowd limits are well-known, such as March Madness, lesser-known local ones are also being canceled.

One of those is next month’s Chadron Festival of Quilts. Spokesman Caroline Brennan says the festival board felt canceling was the only real option available.

Chadron Chamber of Commerce Director Gabby Michna confirmed Tuesday on KCSR’s Sound Off and KBPY’s Community Spotlight that the annual Easter Egg Hunt will also not be held.

Michna thanked the companies, organizations, and volunteers that support the Easter Egg Hunt – especially Skeeter’s NAPA Auto Parks, which has continued to provide the post-hunt Hot Dog BBQ began when it was owned by Skeeter’s dad as Norm’s Auto Parts.
