Rapid City Crash Claims Teen

       A 16-year-old girl was killed and multiple individuals taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Rapid City. Names have not been released.

      The Rapid City Police Department says the crash occurred at 4:00 on Highway 44, near Western Dakota Tech, when a westbound SUV hit the back of a 4-door sedan. Both vehicles left the roadway and went into the lot of a mobile home dealership. 

      The girl was taken by ambulance to Monument Health Rapid City, where she died. An undisclosed number of  individuals from the 2 vehicles were also taken to the hospital.

     No citations have been filed at this time, but early reports were that the SUV may have been speeding.
