Ribbon-Cutting And Dedication Held For New NSP Headquarters

The Nebraska State Patrol held ribbon-cutting ceremonies Thursday on its new Lincoln headquarters, completing a consolidation process decades in the making.

The new HQ is near where Interstates 80 and 180 meet on the north side of Lincoln while the old headquarters was on the south side of the city.

The new building houses the State Patrol headquarters staff, communications division, criminal investigation unit, carrier enforcement officers, and most Lincoln-based troopers.

It also hosts a new State Patrol dispatch center consolidating the current centers in Lincoln and Omaha.

The Crime Lab and NSP Supply Building remain at the Lincoln Airport, but the new headquarters allows the Patrol to vacate 3 other buildings around Lincoln as well as the old headquarters.

Governor Pete Ricketts took part in the ribbon-cutting and told the audience the new building “marks another step in our journey of serving our customers better…in the great tradition of the Nebraska State Patrol
