The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office says a single-vehicle rollover accident before dawn Wednesday morning killed a 32-year old local man. Names have not yet been released.
Sheriff Mark Overman says the accident occurred shortly before 4:30 AM near the intersection of 2 county roads in the southeast corner of the county when the victim lost control and went into the south ditch.
The vehicle then slid sideways and rolled 1-½ times. The driver was ejected and died at the scene.
His 27-year old male passenger remained in the vehicle and was taken to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff with minor injuries
Sheriff Overman says neither man was wearing a seatbelt and that alcohol is being investigated as a factor in the accident.
